Mataram (NTBSatu) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) team went to the Gili Trawangan tourist area, Gili Indah Village, Selamat District, North Lombok Regency (KLU), Friday 15 March 2024.
They moved from hotel to hotel which had previously been recorded as being in arrears on taxes. From the information obtained NTBOnetwo hotels visited, Gili Kama and Gili Sands.
The KPK consists of around four people, led by the Chair of the KPK Region V Supervision Coordinator Task Force (Korsup), Dian Patria.
The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) team moved since morning at around 09.00 WITA, accompanied by the KLU Inspectorate Inspector, H. Zulfadli, who was also present to accompany the KLU Regional Tax and Retribution Services Unit.
The first hotel visited was Gili Sands. From the images obtained NTBOnethe Korsup team began its presence by having a dialogue with hotel management.

They confirmed that the hotel had problems in terms of tax obligations. Because the deadline had passed the provisions, the Regional Government together with the Corruption Eradication Committee were forced to seal it.
There was no resistance from the hotel. They looked cooperative when the team unfurled a red and white banner that read “Notice that this tax object has not yet paid off regional tax obligations.”
Banners are installed on the outside walls, above the entry and exit points of the hotel.
The team then moved to the second hotel, Gili Kama. In the second location, the KPK and KLU Regional Government also took the same approach. Without delay, he immediately unfurled a banner stating that the hotel was in arrears on taxes.
Information has not yet been obtained on the value of the two hotels’ tax arrears. According to one of the KPK teams, they continued to move to several other places.
Data obtained NTBOne, the target is not only on Gili Trawangan. The team also targeted tax objects on Gili Air, including Salim Cootage & Raja Bar and Mola Mola Resort. A number of hotels outside the three Gili areas will also be sealed.
