The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated a hotel unit belonging to the inactive Governor of North Maluku (Malut) Abdul Gani Kasuba.
jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated a hotel unit belonging to the inactive Governor of North Maluku (Malut) Abdul Gani Kasuba.
This confiscation is related to the investigation into the alleged project bribery and licensing case that ensnared Abdul Gani Kasuba.
“Based on information from witnesses examined by the investigative team, it was found that suspect AGK (Abdul Gani Kasuba) had ownership of several economically valuable assets spread across several locations, including Ternate City, Tidore Islands Regency, and Bacan, South Halmahera, which were suspected to be related to the case. “This investigation is currently being carried out,” said KPK spokesperson Ali Fikri in his statement, Friday (22/3).
Ali revealed that the KPK confiscated assets belonging to Abdul Gani Kasuba, including ten plots of land and buildings of varying sizes. In one of the locations there is a hotel which will soon operate.
“The aim of confiscating these assets is to optimize asset recovery from the proceeds of corruption crimes,” said Ali.
Currently, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has only named 7 suspects in bribery for licensing projects and buying and selling positions following the Capture Operation (OTT) in the North Maluku and Jakarta areas on Monday (18/12).
The seven suspects are Abdul Ghani Kasuba (AGK) as the inactive Governor of North Maluku, Adnan Hasanudin (AH) as Head of the Housing and Settlement Service of the North Maluku Provincial Government.
Then, Daud Ismail (DI) as Head of PUPR Department of North Maluku Provincial Government, Ridwan Arsan (RA) as Head of the Goods and Services Procurement Services Agency (BPPBJ), Ramadhan Ibrahim (RI) as aide, External Director of PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL), children Harita Group business, Stevi Thomas (ST) and Kristian Wuisan (KW) as private.
