The 2021 Indonesian Food and Hotel Exhibition recorded 1,629 visitors
Jakarta (ANTARA) – The 2021 Indonesian Food and Hotel Exhibition (FHI), which ended virtually on September 24 2021, was reportedly successful in attracting 1,629 visitors and 55 brands in the hotel industry (hospitality), food and beverage (F&B) to join and do business.
FHI VirtualHub 2021 Event Director, Juanita Soerakoesoemah, in her statement on Tuesday said that the exhibition which took place from 21-24 September 2021 recorded more than 160 business meetings held virtually and succeeded in facilitating the establishment of 1,725 relationship contacts.

Even in the midst of social restriction policies, the number of companies joining as exhibitor showed high enthusiasm for this exhibition. As for networking discussions (networking discussions) occurred more than 1,300 times.
“FHI VirtualHub has succeeded in opening up opportunities for visitors to gain insight with the best practitioners in their fields while expanding business networks through the Business Matching Program,” said Juanita.
He explained that during the 15 events, this was the first time FHI was held virtually. Not only online business meetings, FHI VirtualHub 2021 also provides Hospitality Program webinars, F&B Hub Week as a comprehensive forum for business people in the industry to interact together, share ideas, trends and knowledge of the hospitality and F&B business filled with trusted sources in their fields.
“The 4-day webinar program for FHI VirtualHub 2021 itself was attended by more than 1,500 webinar participants,” said Juanita.
Juanita added, PT Pamerindo as the organizer of FHI VirtualHub 2021 hopes that business people can still hold business meetings in the midst of the pandemic and can expand their target market while opening up opportunities, with new experiences by conducting business virtually.
The F&B industry itself is one of the priority sectors key sectors which is encouraged to be developed in the Making Indonesia 4.0 program because it is proven to be able to contribute consistently and significantly to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the non-oil and gas industry.
Based on data from the Ministry of Industry, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the F&B industry was able to record positive growth of 2.95 percent in the second quarter of 2021 and contributed to the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP) reaching 6.66 percent.
Meanwhile, according to NielsenIQ survey data, the contribution of Indonesian consumer spending on food and drink alone reached 22 percent in the first quarter of 2021.
