Alberta to rehome 39 people after covering $25K unpaid hotel bill for non-profit housing patients
Premier Danielle Smith says a non-profit that placed Albertans in hotel rooms after they were discharged from hospital put them in danger of eviction with a $25,000 unpaid hotel bill, and the government had to step in to pay. UPDATE: Fire ‘under control’ at Kalamazoo-area hotel KALAMAZOO, MI – Firefighters are battling a fire at a Kalamazoo-area hotel that has impacted multiple units, according to a Facebook post from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety. Fire crews from Kalamazoo, Portage, Oshtemo and Comstock were called around 2 pm on Sunday, March 24, to a report of a fire in the 2700 block of Airview Boulevard.
